HBO’s “The Last of Us” premieres to (almost) universal acclaim

The new HBO series “The Last of Us” currently sits at 99% fresh on Rotten Tomatoes, a handful of critics felt the show wasn’t a roaring success. We came down on the side of the 99%. Read our review here.

In an addition to its critical success, 4.7 million people tuned into the premiere. That’s the second largest audience for an HBO show premiere since 2010 (“House of the Dragon” is in first place for that and also the amount of platinum-haired connivers in one show.)

As with most of its shows, HBO will release one episode per week (Sundays at 9pm EST.) While I am no longer able to delay gratification, I commend HBO for not messing up people’s (my) sleep cycles to binge an entire season of show.
